This is one of the rare occasions where a melody popped into my head when not consciously thinking about music. Usually I come up with a song by playing around on a keyboard, experimenting with chord progressions. But on this occasion, I was hanging out with my daughter on a mild February evening at Bondi Beach in 2017. There was this girl on my mind; named Jennifer obviously. I had these incredibly sentimental lyrics looking for a tune, and out of the blue the melody came to me.... I frantically reached for my phone, hummed and recorded the basic melody before the idea vanished... Got home later and started working on it.
Originally released on These Promises, a 4 track EP released in June 2017; re-released in November 2018 with mix amendments.
lyrics
This one girl in a million,
The space that lies between,
If I claim dominion,
Will you be my queen,
So hear my proclamation,
You just mesmerise,
My one preoccupation,
Are you satisfied.
We'll be together because Jennifer you know,
That I see right through you,
Maybe forever unless Jennifer you go,
Like I'm nothing to you.
You take my heart, typical,
And you've got to know,
My love is unconditional,
If it's now or never,
I maybe sentimental,
How I adore you so,
Some things are fundamental,
Will it last forever.
I hope God that you notice,
I hope you'll understand,
I don't have much,
But I give it all to you,
Just to hold your hand.
This one girl in a million,
She plays hard to get,
I will claim dominion,
But don't you lose it yet,
So hear my proclamation,
You just mesmerise,
In your situation,
Are you satisfied.
We'll be together because Jennifer you know,
That I see right through you,
Maybe forever unless Jennifer you go,
Like I'm nothing to you.
You take my heart, typical,
And you've got to know,
My love is unconditional,
If it's now or never,
I maybe sentimental,
How I adore you so,
Some things are fundamental,
Will it last forever.
I hope God that you notice,
I hope you'll understand,
I don't have much,
But I give it all to you,
Just to hold your hand.

The nights were cold but electric on Rhea, Saturn’s second largest moon. All the cool kids would gather at the edge of the
Splat, a large crater and centre of Rhea’s nightlife. We’d tune into Earth FM and listen to 80s pop; The soundtrack of our lives.
Year's later, I headed for Earth, networked with Earthling musician talent and fashioned a sound reminiscent of my formative years....more

Listening to this... our future WAS surprisingly upbeat and positive - even if there were a few teen-slashers here and there. This album is something of a best-of of those 80s-vibes, be it the perfect and therefore unreal California vacation, home-computer-idealization or some creepy fun horror in the second half. Apparently, you need only 8 songs to capture it all. gonzo009

Great compilation with a lot of good tracks. So many great synthwave artists are here on this album that makes it hard to choose just one great track from it or one artist. Petar
