Originally recorded this track in November 2016 and released it as part of the EP, These Promises in June 2017. Online music media reviews suggested this as the standout track of the EP. In June 2018 I went back to the recording studio to make some amendments; Guitarist Daniel Natoli added some rhythm guitar and beefed up the bass line in the chorus.
lyrics
Reverence and Sanctity,
A lullaby and sweet melody,
And patience is a virtue,
Breaking against the fortress of love,
I'm starry eyed,
For these dreams weren't meant for me,
Behold the light before you,
Shining inside the fortress of love.
I'm on the outside looking in,
And I'm living without your love,
All dreams are whispers in the wind,
A single tear for the broken,
I trace it through the memory of your face.
Serenity you'll never know,
A bountiful heart will overflow,
But I have been forsaken,
Prey unto the fortress of love,
I'm not enough,
But what will be will be,
Am I hopelessly mistaken,
Stranded at the fortress of love.
I'm on the outside looking in,
And I'm living without your love,
All dreams are whispers in the wind,
A single tear for the broken,
I trace it through the memory of your face.
I'm a fool again,
If love is not the answer,
I'm a fool again,
If love is not the answer.
For all my faults my hearts is true,
I only wanted to be with you,
And longing is such a burden,
Deliver me to the fortress of love,
Don't turn away,
Don't dismiss me outta hand,
A future still uncertain,
Promised at the fortress of love.
I'm on the outside looking in,
And I'm living without your love,
All dreams are whispers in the wind,
A single tear for the broken,
I trace it through the memory of your face.
I'm a fool again,
Love is not the answer
I'm a fool again,
Love is not the answer.

The nights were cold but electric on Rhea, Saturn’s second largest moon. All the cool kids would gather at the edge of the
Splat, a large crater and centre of Rhea’s nightlife. We’d tune into Earth FM and listen to 80s pop; The soundtrack of our lives.
Year's later, I headed for Earth, networked with Earthling musician talent and fashioned a sound reminiscent of my formative years....more

Listening to this... our future WAS surprisingly upbeat and positive - even if there were a few teen-slashers here and there. This album is something of a best-of of those 80s-vibes, be it the perfect and therefore unreal California vacation, home-computer-idealization or some creepy fun horror in the second half. Apparently, you need only 8 songs to capture it all. gonzo009

Great compilation with a lot of good tracks. So many great synthwave artists are here on this album that makes it hard to choose just one great track from it or one artist. Petar
