The Cassini Division was an idea looking for a song. For the longest time I couldn't figure out what else to do with it, so when I initially released These Promises, it was just a cool little vibe to conclude the EP. But over time melodic ideas would hit me like diamond bullets, eventually leading me back into the studio to revisit and revamp. Added a few more synth layers, adjusted and lengthened the arrangement and laid down the vocals. Voila!

The nights were cold but electric on Rhea, Saturn’s second largest moon. All the cool kids would gather at the edge of the Splat, a large crater and centre of Rhea’s nightlife. We’d tune into Earth FM and listen to 80s pop; The soundtrack of our lives.
