I had these chords searching for a song for about two decades. Indeed, I had multiple recording attempts with completely different lyrics and instrumentation over the years. They all had elements I enjoyed; just not quite right. But in a moment of inspiration, it finally came together. The right singer, the right producer and boom, here's the result.

John Kater is a renowned bass player in Australia and he'd provided backing vocals on my initial recordings at A Sharp Recording Studio. When I sang the guide vocal, I guess I had a less powerful performance in mind; more vocally subdued. Think Pet Shop Boys or New Order. I guess this is the joy of bringing your ideas to other musicians and/ or vocalists. To hear the idea and get their interpretation of it. Sometimes they do something you could never live with, but other times, you just know that's what the track required all along.

The nights were cold but electric on Rhea, Saturn’s second largest moon. All the cool kids would gather at the edge of the Splat, a large crater and centre of Rhea’s nightlife. We’d tune into Earth FM and listen to 80s pop; The soundtrack of our lives.
