Like it was for many, lockdown presented a time of great procrastination followed by the opportunity to make the time productive somehow. So around April of 2020 I acquired a couple of new music toys and went about the process of creation.

To familiarize myself with my new gear, I tinkered around with an old demo. One of many promising ideas that never quite realized its final polished potential. As is so often the case, what starts as an endeavor to complete an old track, when one idea leads to another, before you know it, it's almost a completely different song. And that was the case here.

Much of the previous EP, These Promises, seemed to about unrequited love, and that theme carries on into this project for a couple of tracks. This one in particular has a slightly more bubblegum pop feel about it.

The nights were cold but electric on Rhea, Saturn’s second largest moon. All the cool kids would gather at the edge of the Splat, a large crater and centre of Rhea’s nightlife. We’d tune into Earth FM and listen to 80s pop; The soundtrack of our lives.
